GOLF Academy Coaches Pick Masters Favorites, Sleepers

GOLF Academy coaches make their 2019 Masters picks

It’s almost here! A tradition unlike any other, and one full of storylines for 2019.

– Will Tiger end his long Masters and major title drought at Augusta National? He was in contention at last year’s Open and PGA Championship, and as GOLF Academy lead coach Jeremy Anderson said, “the G.O.A.T. is trending in the right direction.”

– Will recent Players champion Rory McIlroy complete the career Grand Slam and win that elusive green jacket? GOLF Academy lead coach Kenny Nairn thinks he will, and in convincing fashion. “The win from The Players has given him confidence in his putting and the kid lives on confidence,” said Nairn. “Don’t be surprised if it’s a runaway.”

– What about Jordan Spieth? Will he break out of his slump at a venue he holds very dear—four top-3 finishes, including a win, in five career starts. And his WORST finish was a T-11.

It figures to be one of the most exciting Masters in recent memory. For a look at who our coaches like as potential winners and dark horses, check out the chart above.
