Steve bogdanoff

Steve is the GOLF Academy lead coach and Director of Junior Golf at Ballantyne Golf Academy. A Class A PGA Professional with more than 10 years teaching experience, Steve joined Ballantyne Golf Academy in 2015 after working as a Club Professional at private facilities in his home state of Virginia, Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head, S.C.

Growing up, Steve was a varsity athlete in baseball and football while still mastering the game of golf. His athletic background has helped shape his teaching style. With certifications in BodiTrak Sports force plates, Swing Catalyst and Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), he has an incredible grasp of the body-swing connection and the use of ground forces needed to produce an efficient and athletic motion. He helps his students create better clubhead speed and effortless power with easy to understand drills and mechanics.

A graduate of Coastal Carolina University with a combined degree in Business Administration and Professional Golf Management, Steve also holds certifications with U.S. Kids Golf and  Operation 36 (Coach Level 3), and is a member of the Positive Coaching Alliance.

Full-length and well-targeted, the driving range at Ballantyne Golf Academy uses a combination of natural grass and synthetic-turf tees. The practice center also includes a short-game area with multiple putting greens and a large greenside practice bunker. In the Ballantyne Golf Academy headquarters building is a comfortable player lounge area.

Doug Breuer

Doug is a Senior Teaching Professional with Ballantyne Golf Academy. A dedicated coach with special skills in short-game teaching, Doug joined Ballantyne in 2006 after teaching 13 years at Michael Hebron’s Golf School in Smithtown, N.Y. He was also a former teaching professional and Director of Instruction at Island Green Golf School in Selden, N.Y., and former Head Pro at Smithtown Landing CC on Long Island. Many of Doug’s students have gone on to play NCAA college golf and advanced to the ranks of PGA Professionals.

Brian Lombard

A PGA Teaching Professional with more than 10 years coaching experience, Brian spent seven years working at the Grand Cypress Academy of Golf in Orlando, four as a Head Instructor, before joining Ballantyne. The Aspen, Colorado, native has received multiple certifications, including Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level I Fitness Coach and TPI Level II Junior Coach. A one-time competitive lacrosse player, Brian enjoys working with golfers of all ages and abilities.

Stewart O'Malley

Stewart is a PGA Teaching Professional with the Ballantyne Golf Academy. Having achieved Certified PGA status in Teaching and Coaching, he ranks among the top 6% of PGA instructors in the world. Stewart’s own individualized, proven teaching methods and overall philosophy of “making golf fun” help support his overall objective, which is to help each student progressively realize his or her individual goals. Several of Stewart’s junior students have qualified for the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship at Pinehurst.
