Paul Kaster is one of the country’s leading golf coaches. He was recognized by Golf Digest as one of The Best Teachers in New Jersey for 2017-2018, and was honored by U.S. Kids Golf as one of 2017’s Top 50 Kids Teachers. Locally, Paul was nominated in 2016 and 2017 for the New Jersey PGA Youth Development Award. U.S. Kids Golf also gave him honorable mention for their Top 50 Award in 2015 and 2016.  Along the way, Paul has learned from some of the game’s greatest teachers including Bob Toski, Phil Ritson, Mark Sweeney, Chuck Evans, Henry Brunton, John Godwin, Dr. Rick Jensen, and Chicago golf legend Emanuel Worley.

Paul has has taught putting on the PGA Tour and is a National Staff member for SeeMore Putters and Cobra-Puma Golf. Paul is also level II certified by the Titleist Performance Institute, AimPoint and K-Motion. He creates coaching programs for adult and junior students and uses the best technology to coach a number of junior golfers, several of whom are the best in their age groups in New York and New Jersey. Fifteen of his junior clients have earned spots in the U.S. Kids Golf World Championships and Teen World Championships held annually at the Pinehurst Resort. He currently serves on Foresight Sports’ Advisory Board as well as New Jersey PGA’s Junior Golf Committee.

Prior to opening his own facility, Paul was the Director of Instruction at Forsgate Country Club from 2015-2018 and before that a teaching professional at Royce Brook’s Academy of Golf in Hillsborough, New Jersey. He learned the game on Chicago’s historic public Jackson Park Golf Course.  He attended Colgate University and was co-captain of the golf team before he left early to play professional golf.  Paul competed for three years on the Golden Bear (now Gateway) tour and other mini-tours but an injury thwarted his quest to play on the PGA TOUR. He returned to school at Rutgers University and graduated with a B.A. in Political Science with highest honors. He earned a Juris Doctorate Degree, with honors, from the University of Miami School of Law, and passed the bars in New York and New Jersey.  For several years, Paul worked as a child protective services prosecutor in the New Jersey Attorney General’s office before returning to a career in golf.

Paul uses his competitive experiences while coaching clients. In 2015, he advanced to U.S. Open Sectional Qualifying with a score of 69 at Montammy Country Club in Alpine, New Jersey.  Paul also led the Forsgate team to victory with 9 birdies at the 2015 NJPGA Open Pro Am at Bedens Brook Club, Skillman, New Jersey.  Paul also qualified for the 2012 Metropolitan Open with a score of 68 and finished T-5th at the 2012 Bridgestone Premiere Pro-Am at Firestone Country Club, Akron, Ohio.

The 800-square-foot indoor training facility is open year-round and is located in the same building as a TPI Certified physical therapist. It includes a gym, Foresight GC Quad launch monitor and simulator with courses such as Pebble Beach and Oakmont, and an Anvil Golf adjustable indoor putting system that can be tilted in multiple directions for breaking putts and AimPoint Green Reading instruction. There’s also a K-Coach 3D motion analysis system as well as a BodiTrak Vector pressure mapping system which measures horizontal and vertical forces during the swing to train distance and efficiency. Custom club fitting is also available for juniors (U.S. Kids Golf) as well as SeeMore putter fittings.
