Bobby is the founder and CEO of Impact Zone Golf, and the originator of Impact-Based® instruction, with two locations in Naples, FL. Perhaps best known for his spectacular amateur and collegiate playing career and as a golf analyst for CBS and TNT, in 2015 Bobby became the first lifetime member of the PGA Tour named a PGA Master Professional in Teaching and Coaching—the highest designation a PGA member can attain.

In 2008 Bobby founded Impact Zone Golf, a revolutionary Impact-Based® training system that concentrates on improving a player’s impact position rather than his or her “style” of swing. The program is based on Clampett’s best-selling instructional book, The Impact Zone: Mastering Golf’s Moment of Truth, published in 2007. Bobby’s passion for helping others create or rediscover their best golf led him to opening Impact Zone Golf, where he and his highly experienced staff lead various golf programs designed for all ages and levels of golfers. Impact Zone Golf uses state-of-the-art technologies such as K-Coach 3D biometrics system, Swing Catalyst video swing analysis software and pressure plates (including one of only two ground force plates in commercial use in Florida), TrackMan4 and Foresight Quad launch monitors, SAM PuttLab, FocusBand and HeartMath.

A three-time All-American and two-time Collegiate Golfer of the Year at Brigham Young University, Clampett turned professional after his junior year at BYU. Two years later, he nearly won the U.S. Open just down the road from his hometown of Monterey, Calif., at Pebble Beach Golf Links, finishing T-3rd, four shots behind Tom Watson. Bobby played for 16 years on the PGA Tour, winning the 1982 Southern Open, before transitioning into television as an on-course reporter and then analyst and commentator for CBS Sports in the mid-90s. He was also the lead golf analyst for Turner Sports from 1996-2007. Today, Clampett provides commentary and analysis for CBS Sports for The Masters and PGA Championship, through Masters.com’s and CBSSports.com’s online coverage. After turning 50 in 2010, Bobby returned to competitive play on the PGA Tour Champions for five years and posted five top-5 finishes. He still enjoys playing with friends as well as his students, and recently competed in and advanced through a U.S. Open Local Qualifier at the age of 59.
