Anders Mattson 

Mattson is the Director of Instruction at Saratoga National Golf Club in Saratoga Springs, NY. The 2014 Northeastern NY PGA Teacher of the Year, Mattson joined Saratoga National in 2002 shortly after graduating from Furman University in South Carolina, where he earned a degree in Business Administration.

An accomplished player, Mattson won the 2009 NENY PGA Stroke Play Championship and was runner-up in the same event in 2010. He added his second sectional major in September 2014, capturing the NENY PGA Match Play Championship with a 6 & 5 victory in the final.

Mattson earned his Class A certification with the PGA in 2009 and later added certifications with the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI Level 3 Certified Golf Professional) and TrackMan (Level 2 Certified Professional).

The practice facility at Saratoga National includes a full-length driving range with nine target flags and a yardage key at each bay. Balls are pyramid-stacked and golfers pay hourly or daily to use the range. The short-game area has a 15,000-square-foot green and two practice bunkers, one for greenside play and one for fairway recoveries. There is an indoor-to-outdoor bay for instruction and winter use.

Bob Cain

A native of nearby Clifton Park, Bob recently returned to Saratoga National as its head teaching professional to oversee the junior golf program. Bob previously worked at Saratoga National from 2003 through 2007, and also spent eight years developing his coaching skills at Westchester Country Club. He holds various certifications from U.S. Kids Golf.
